The end of November saw the arrival of 10 civil engineering students and their Academics from the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment at Deakin University. The students undertook a two week academic program at UniTEN prior to the commencement of a 6 week internship program with an engineering company based in KL. The program included site visits to the amazing SMART Tunnel in KL, the Klang gates dam, and a visit to University Technology Petronas in Perak. The students enjoyed meeting local engineering students with whom they worked on projects, and were able to farewell them with a dinner of authentic Malay cuisine at Rebung Restaurant.
At the completion of the academic program, students relocated to Kuala Lumpur where they began their internships with a diversity of companies across KL and Selangor. At this time of year there are numerous long weekends which will allow them ample opportunity to explore both KL and the beaches and attractions all around Malaysia.
